Aditi Agnihotri

Aditi comes from a strong and diverse litigation background, first beginning her career at a prominent Criminal Defence firm in downtown Toronto, and thereafter working as Duty Counsel with Legal Aid Ontario in Criminal Court.  She went on to diversify and expand her practice areas, first working at a Personal Injury firm with a focus on Medical Malpractice and later moving to an Employment Law firm, where she practiced primarily plaintiff-side Employment Law.  She finds her diversified portfolio of experience provides her with a wide breadth of experience and gives her a balanced approach in facing legal problems.

In addition to working in private practice, Aditi has also provided a number of legal services in the public sector.  She worked as duty counsel at the Family Law Information Centre (FLIC) assisting unrepresented parties with their family law matters.  She also worked with the Parliamentary Counsel at the Office of the Senate Law Clerk assisting in case law research, policy & analysis.  In addition, she worked at the Ottawa Community Legal Clinic in the Women’s Division assisting victims of violent crimes with their applications before the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board.

Aditi’s interest in the law began with her deep-rooted passion for assisting the underprivileged and advancing access to justice.  As a result, alongside her private practice, she has provided volunteer legal services to various initiatives such as the Child Advocacy Project – Education Law Program, the Refugee Sponsorship Program and the Advocacy Centre for Tenants Ontario (ACTO).

Second to her interest in the law, Aditi gravitates towards studying behavioural economics and game theory, and reading up on various social/psychological experiments. Besides that Aditi enjoys writing, photography, flipping houses and interior design.  When not working, you will most likely catch Aditi spoiling her dogs Kobe and Coco and trying to befriend her cat Orakit.
